Dino Scultpure

For my A2 art exam I chose to do a 3D model of a dinosaur, realating to my theme of Monsters and Movie Creatures. Heavily inspire by Stan Winston again (like my kinetic hand sculpture), especially his work in the Jurassic Park movies. I used only a few tools to sculpt my dinosaur - Harold - which included the clay itself, a sharp scalpel, a metal mesh sponge, a pair a pliers, several paintbrushes and some old metal coat hangers and some duct tape.

I first cut and shaped the metal coat hangers to act as a skeleton for Harold, and then slowly building up the basic shapes of the body bit by bit and eventually shaping it and adding some textures.
